GLG Partners, a European hedge fund manager, and Deutsche Bank, Germany?s biggest bank, were fined by French market regulators on accusations of trading abuses stemming from a convertible bond sale in 2002. GLG plans to appeal the decision, a company spokesman said. Deutsche Bank was fined for ?technical and procedural? reasons for its role in the November 2002 sale by Alcatel, the telecommunications equipment manufacturer, a spokeswoman for Deutsche Bank said. The bank does not plan to appeal, the spokeswoman said. The amount of the fines was not disclosed.
