A curfew has been imposed on Grand Cayman. While the island is under a curfew, Royal Cayman Islands Police officers are given broad powers by the governor to stop and search any vehicle on the roads.

The All Clear has been issued after Hurricane Dean greeted Grand Cayman with heavy winds and high seas but no catastrophic damage. The curfew on Grand Cayman was lifted at 2 pm Monday but the All Clear was not declared until 4:30 pm.
