Chrysler to Layoff Thousands of Workers

In an attempt to turn around its business, Chrysler will layoff more workers. The carmaker plans to cut up to 10,000 hourly employees. That's in addition to the 13,000 layoffs it announced in February. The news comes just days after the United Auto Workers approved a new contract.

U.S. sales declined for two of Detroit's Big Three automakers in October. Both Ford and Chrysler posted a drop. But Toyota had a great month for U.S. sales, which rose 4.5 percent. General Motors didn't do too bad either. The largest U.S. automaker saw its U.S. sales rise 3 percent.
