Telstra withdraws as bidder for Telecom NZ Yellow Pages

Telstra has pulled out of the bidding for Telecom New Zealand's Yellow Pages unit, saying the asking price for the directories business was too high.

MONTREAL (CP) - Yellow Pages Group says it will pay $330 million for Aliant Directory Services, which is now owned by parent firm Yellow Pages Income Fund (TSX:YLO.UN) and Bell Aliant Regional Communications Income Fund (TSX:BA.UN).
